We were literally standing with Israel as the administrations in our government shifted. The visiting delegation of two Israeli Knesset members Yehuda Glick and Sharren Haskel were flanking Don and myself- as the oaths were taken by Vice President Mike Pence and President Donald Trump.
It was by God’s design and serendipity that just when the transfer of power took place we were standing with representatives of Israel’s government. I pray this was a prophetic picture for the future of the United States of America.
We sensed a shift in the spirit as the swearing in happened right in front of us.
Vice President Mike Pence put his hand on the Bible opened to this verse when he took his oath:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
These verses are the most powerful plan for revival and blessing to come upon any nation where believers rise up to stand in the gap with humility for their land and people.
We could feel the prayers of the saints from all over the world as we were standing in intercession for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done. We felt like conduits representing the prayers of many of you for mercy and revival to come to America.
The intense division, emotional tension and quick policy changes since the inauguration have stirred up much strife and outrage across America and throughout the world.
Let’s remember that, “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)
Instead of lashing out at others, let’s stand firm and use our authority in prayer, worship and standing firm in the armor of God in spiritual warfare.
Let’s keep praying!
