$2100 Church Building Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who responded regarding the two church buildings in Mozambique. We asked for $2,100, but because of your generosity we are able to send Iris Ministries slightly more than $6000! The extra funds will go towards digging wells, feeding orphans, and training bush pastors. As most of you will know, this is one of the most amazing ministries to the poor of any place we know, ministering to many thousands of orphans and single mothers who have been deserted by their husbands, often these women without any way to feed and support the children.

Please know that we are continually partnering with Iris. We have been very blessed to teach in the Global Harvest schools, and to work alongside these amazing men and women of God.

Some of you have wondered why we would be raising funds for church buildings, since that is not usually something that we would do. These “church buildings” are not what we usually would call “church buildings,” but are really more like a small living room in a village in the bush where no one has living space large enough to host a group. Iris Ministries now has more than 10,000 churches throughout the bush country.

May the Lord give you back many times over what you have given, so that, as Paul said to us, we may “at all times, having all that [we] need, [we] will abound in every good work” (2 Cor. 9:8).

Blessings,

Don and Tod, for “Caleb” and “Iris”

Listen! Be still! He is speaking!

“The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets” (Psalm 50:1).

“The Sovereign LORD has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught. The Sovereign LORD has opened my ears, and I have not been rebellious; I have not drawn back” (Isaiah 50:4-5).

Let’s get the message out!

I never intended to write a book. It seemed to me that what needed to be said had been said by others as good or better than I would say it.

That was before I got what I call the “Israel key that unlocks world revival.” It now seems so clear to me that we are living in the time predicted by Israel’s prophets of old:

Israel is back in the Land from all the countries into which she had been dispersed.

And Jewish eyes are being opened to her own Messiah – so much so that hundreds of thousands of Jewish people have come to faith in Yeshua/Jesus in the last four decades, a clear prediction from Isaiah (6:8-14).

Then there is this word from Paul that Israel’s “fullness” would bring about “greater riches” for the whole world (Romans 11:12).

Why do we happen to be living in the greatest worldwide revival of faith in Jesus that has ever happened? It is connected to Israel’s return to the Land and to the Lord.

Those two messages burned within me so that I, like Jeremiah (20:9) could not hold them in. I needed to write. Gospel Light Regal was kind enough to publish the two books: Your People Shall Be My People and God’s Promise and the Future of Israel.

They also granted me the international rights to both books, and either one or both of them have now been translated into fourteen languages.

This page tells you how to get copies of the books – in English, Russian, Korean, Mandarin, French, German, Dutch, Norwegian, Icelandic, Portuguese, Spanish, or Turkish.

The issue the church is facing during the next few years is how do we stand with God’s covenant people through whom He brought redemption to earth, and who yet have a place in the unveiling of God’s plan.

After all, a Jewish man, a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, has become not only Israel’s Messiah, but the Redeemer of every nation. And He will soon return to claim His Jew/Gentile bride who will reign with Him upon the earth for a thousand years, before being ushered into eternity future.

As the angels told His disciples on His last day on the earth when He ascended from the Mount of Olives, “[He] will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11).

Keep the focus! Let’s get the message out!

Blessings,
Don Finto
