“My feet stand on level ground; in the great congregation I will praise the Lord.”
(Psalm 26:12 NIV)

In this day of many things shaking economically, politically, socially, militarily and geologically we are in great need to stand on level ground!

The Hebrew word for stand comes from `amad – to “abide…continue…dwell…endure, and establish.” In spite of all upheavals, we are called securely to dwell on level ground!

The Hebrew root word for level (yashar) refers to the ground we are to stand on – to “be straight, to be even, to be right, to be pleasant and prosperous.”

Many people are searching for prosperity without seeing the connection to living a life marked by personal integrity, walking on ground that is straight, right and pleasant. The key to true prosperity, so exemplified in Solomon’s reign as king of Israel, is to have peace on all of the borders of life. Solomon’s forty year reign was marked by expansion of borders without once having enemies attack Israel’s borders.

Is there peace on the borders of your life? Going through difficulties? Seem to have lost your balance through the trials and tests? Not that everything is going perfectly, but are you choosing to stand on level ground in the midst of the shaking. Your peace is determined by your focus. Our standing on level ground is abiding in Yeshua/Jesus. He is our life, our way, our reality (truth).

“Strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed” (Hebrews 12:12-13 NIV). Through the help of His Spirit we can choose the path, the ground, the foundation on which we stand and/or walk.

“At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, ‘Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.’ The words ‘once more’ indicate the removing of what can be shaken– -that is, created things– -so that what cannot be shaken may remain” (Hebrews 12:26-27).

The shaking is coming! Stand firm! We can do it!
